General FAQ

Below are questions and answers regarding general day spa etiquette and frequently asked questions. Please contact me to submit any questions you may have that you do not see here.

Q:
Do you accept male clients?

A: Yes, absolutely! However, I reserve the right to decline any client – male or female – if I feel that my comfort and safety level may be at risk. As a general rule, waxing and skincare services in the genitalia region are done on female anatomy only. Any sexual or uncomfortable remarks, sounds, or gestures from men or women will result in immediate dismissal of the client and possible legal action.

Q: How old do you have to be to receive skincare/waxing treatments?

A: Proper skincare should start at home when children are very young. I have treated clients as young as 8 years old with parental supervision. The majority of skin damage is done before the age of 18, so it is never too soon for children to learn the proper steps in maintaining the health of their skin. Waxing may be started preferably after the age of 7, as long as the child fully understands the process and potential pain level involved, and is 100% willing to have it done.  (Pubic area waxing, however, should not be performed until after puberty in order for doctors to be able to monitor proper maturation levels.) Waxing at a young age may, in fact, prevent and slow or stop hair growth at a very young age because the hair is not able to get strong.  Waxing is said to be less painful on children because of the weaker hair.  It might be helpful to have the child watch the service being performed before having it done themselves.

Q: What method(s) of payment do you accept?

A: I currently accept cash, Venmo, PayPal (Friends & Family), and Debit/Credit cards processed via Square (please be mindful of processing fees when using cards). Some change is kept on hand, but please make sure you have the proper form and amount of payment before your service begins. Personal checks are no longer accepted. Full payment is due at the time of service.

Q: What hours are you open?

A: I work by appointment only and, when possible, will schedule your appointment at a time that is most convenient for you. Just let me know what day and time is best for you, and I will do my best to accommodate. Appointments are best made 2 to 6 weeks in advance. Same-day appointments are not always available. Absolutely no walk-ins.
