IMPORTANT WAXING NOTES:

  • Please be appropriately cleansed upon arriving for your wax.
  • Ladies receiving intimate waxing: cancellation notice must be given 48 hours in advance to avoid a service fee, so if you are uncomfortable being waxed during your period, please plan around it appropriately. It is highly suggested to use a menstrual cup during waxing.
  • Waxing times may vary depending on hair growth and previous up-keep. An extra fee may be charged for hair that requires excessive trimming or takes longer than 60 minutes per area due to difficulty.
  • To achieve the best waxing results, body hair must be at least 1/4″ long  (about the length of a grain of rice) or longer, and should be done every 4-5 weeks without shaving in between.
  • For best results, gently exfoliate the area to be waxed 24 hours before the appointment.
  • If waxing for a special occasion, please begin your waxing regimen 2 to 3 months before the occasion to condition the skin and lessen the likelihood of irritation on the day of your occasion.
  • Contraindications for waxing include but are not limited to: any contagious condition, certain pregnancy conditions, use of antibiotics, sunburn, inflammation, cuts, bruises, diabetes, any skin rash or open wound, moles, warts, skin recently exposed to alpha hydroxy acids, glycolic acids, retinol, or any skin-thinning products, recently tanned skin, and allergies to ingredients such as pine resin and beeswax.
  • While it is recommended to take a pain reliever 40-60 minutes prior to your wax, it is NOT recommended that you take NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, as they can affect your body’s clotting ability and may result in bruising during  wax.
  • After all waxing, clients should refrain from excessive sweating or exposure to other bacteria (sex, hot tubs, etc.).
  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning of the waxed area for at least 48 hours post-waxing.
  • Proper cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration is key to a successful wax.
